LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock man, Johnny Ray Acosta, Jr., 26, was indicted by a Grand Jury on Wednesday, August 12, on three separate counts of possession and attempting to distribute methamphetamine.
EverythingLubbock.com previously reported that on July 15, the HSI Louisville Parcel Interdiction Unit seized a package that was being delivered to Lubbock from San Diego, California. According to court records, 732 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine were discovered inside the package by agents.
The package was addressed to Acosta at the 6500 block of 8th Street in Lubbock. A search warrant was issued for Acosta’s residence, he received methamphetamine by mail, court records showed.
