LUBBOCK, Texas — A group of Texas Tech students and faculty is circling a petition calling on the Board of Regents to remove Chancellor Brandon Creighton.
A representative of the group—called Red Raiders Against Censorship—spoke at the most recent Board of Regents meeting. He expressed concerns about curriculum reviews and memorandums to faculty that clarified how race, gender and sexuality must be taught, and the announced removal of some programs “centered on” the subjects.

“We’ve been tracking what he’s been doing on campus and we believe that he is unfit for his office,” said James Snoddy, a founder of the group.
