Shots fired in front of Lubbock home

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department responded to gunshots being fired at the 2700 block of East Colegate Street on Thursday afternoon, according to a report from the Lubbock Police Department.

When officers arrived on the scene they witnessed many bullet casings in the street in front of the victim’s residence.

According to the police report, the gunshots did damage to another victim’s vehicle, a carport pole and a chainlink fence, which had 4 gunshots through the screen.

Verbal altercation leads to stabbing of Lubbock man

One witness told police he had heard gunshots outside while he was inside the house with his wife but didn’t look out the window in concern of him being shot himself, per police report.

One of the parties involved told police her husband had received a call earlier that morning from an unknown suspect threatening him, while also telling him he knew where the victim lived.
