It’s an honest question. Do we need to welcome people to Lubbock properly?. The people of Wolfforth, no doubt suffering some kind of identity crisis, decided to erect a “Welcome To Wolfforth” sign. According to KCBD one of the Wolfforth officials present said, “It’s nothing against Lubbock, we love Lubbock, but…(I won’t bore you with the rest). It just seemed to me for somebody that has nothing against Lubbock, they sure made Lubbock the focal point of the conversation. Anywho, the sign is nice, but the giant stylized “W” looks like it’s a market for a Westin Hotel or something. Okay, now that’s out of the way, let’s get to our city’s lack of a sign.
