LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – It has been a very hot day on the South Plains. Lubbock’s high was 99 degrees, just 6 degrees short of the record set in 1930. More heat coming tomorrow with highs still in the mid and upper 90s. It will again be sunny and breezy for all communities in the region. There may be a few showers that impact some northwest areas Friday afternoon and evening but nothing significant.
