FBI, DOJ join local leaders to confront violent crime in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas — Federal officials scheduled a news conference in Lubbock on Thursday regarding law enforcement efforts to “address and reduce violent crime in the area.”

The media conference was scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.

A media advisory said the following will be present:

  • Ryan Raybould, United States Attorney of the Northern District of Texas
  • Kevin Vest, Dallas Assistant Special in Charge of FBI
  • ATF
  • Sean Malecha, U.S. Marshall Service
  • Nicholas Powell, Resident in Charge of Caprock HIDTA and DEA
  • Tim Raymond, Acting Assistant Special Agent in Charge of HSI Lubbock
  • Richard Byrd,Resident Agent in Charge of ATF Lubbock
  • Sunshine Stanek, Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney
  • Captain Tony Williams, Texas Anti-Gang Center (TAG)
  • Jordan Roberts, Assistant Chief Deputy of Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office
  • Seth Herman, Chief of Police, Lubbock Police Department
