LUBBOCK, Texas — May 24, 2016, was the last day that a friend saw 41-year-old Dane Lee Hubbard. The Lubbock Police Department reported that Hubbard was last seen in the 2400 block of Avenue A riding a red bicycle.

His family reported him missing in mid-August that same year and informed officers that Hubbard had a diminished mental capacity.
In 2017, LPD officials issued a press release regarding Hubbard’s missing-person case, stating that, due to his transient lifestyle, it had been difficult to identify anyone who had come into contact with Hubbard, and all leads had been exhausted, with the case still being worked on.

May 24, 2026, marks ten years since Hubbard was last seen, and the search for him continues. LPD officials state they will continue reviewing the case to develop new leads.
