Wisconsin woman causes multi-vehicle crash by running red light, arrested for 1st OWI

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A woman in Wisconsin was arrested Thursday morning for her first OWI offense after running a red light and causing a multi-vehicle crash.

According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers responded around 8:00 a.m. to reports of a multi-vehicle crash near South Park Street and West Badger Road.

No arrests made in recent Brown County OWI Task Force deployment

Officials say one vehicle heading north in a southbound lane went through a red light at South Park Street and crashed into vehicles going through a green light on West Badger Road.

Officers made contact with the driver who ran they red light and said that the driver showed signs of impairment. The driver was then arrested for her 1st OWI offense and taken to a local hospital for a blood draw…
