Sun Prairie HVAC company receives 900+ calls in two days during heat wave

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A Sun Prairie heating and air conditioning company has received more than 900 calls in the last two days as teams work to install and repair cooling units during a stretch of hot and humid temperatures.

Cardinal Heating and Air Conditioning services 11 counties in southern Wisconsin. Some days, crews begin work as early as 7 a.m.

Company deploys dozens of crews

“We have 40 team members doing service work, so helping out our customers with maintenance and no ACs. We have 16 install crews ready to install air conditioners for our customers,” said Luke Wrona, HVAC technical trainer at Cardinal Heating and Air Conditioning.

Customer’s home reached 80 degrees

Jake Brown was among the customers who called for service. He said his home reached 80 degrees Monday night.

“I think that’s the reason that our AC went out was the heat pushing our system to its limits,” Brown said…
