MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Families gathered Saturday for the Urban League of Greater Madison’s 12th annual Unity Picnic, an event organizers say took on even greater significance as the community continues to process this week’s fatal officer-involved shooting.
Kids played games, neighbors shared free food, local vendors lined the Urban League parking lot and dozens of community organizations offered everything from school information to counseling resources.
