MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – An early Friday morning one-vehicle crash in Wisconsin turned from fiery to fatal after the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a release from the Madison Police Department, officers, along with firefighters from the Madison Fire Department, responded at 12:36 a.m. to the area of American Family Drive and American Parkway for reports of a crash.

First responders arrived at the scene and were faced with a vehicle on fire after it appeared to fail to negotiate the curve on American Parkway before leaving the road, driving through the median, and crashing into a light pole.
A passenger in the vehicle was able to exit the fiery vehicle and was taken to the hospital for treatment to minor injuries. The 40-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene…
