MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – After multiple days of severe weather, local insurance companies and auto body shops are racing to keep up with the demand.
American Family Insurance says it has received more than 4,900 damage claims across Wisconsin this week.
A brief break in the storms is giving insurers a chance to catch up, but the claims keep coming.
“The response so far has been overwhelming,” Bryan Lang, Senior Catastrophe Operations Specialist with American Family Insurance said. “We’re super busy. Just in the first 24 hours, that number [of claims] went into the thousands, and we expect it to continue to rise.”…
