The new downtown restaurant Eloura and Zafferano Ristorante in Fitchburg share a penchant for culinary diversity, but co-owner and founder Kalyani Venkatraman said the similarities stop there.
“The only connection is fusion, everything else is different,” she said. “Zafferano Ristorante is hearty, heavy, warm, comforting food. Eloura is fresh. It has a lot of fresh, raw elements to it.”
Although they’re “two different concepts,” she said, “I think they’re both working.”
The space at 10 W. Mifflin St. has been empty since Italian restaurant Tutto With a Touch of Sass closed in August 2025. In March of this year, Mediterranean and Asian fusion restaurant Eloura took its place…
