Man deemed competent for trial in Sun Prairie homicide case

MADISON, Wis. — A man was deemed competent to stand trial on Wednesday for a 2024 homicide in Sun Prairie, online court records show.

Zachary O’Connell, 22, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide to an unborn child, and first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
