MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – In South Central Wisconsin we can expect a dynamic shift in local weather patterns as a highly active atmospheric setup moves into the region. Following a brief period of decreasing cloud cover today, afternoon temperatures will rise into the middle 80s.

However, the latest updates from the National Weather Service in Sullivan indicate that a complex storm system will quickly drive toward South Central Wisconsin, bringing an extended period of precipitation and unstable conditions that will last well into next week.

Atmospheric moisture will steadily increase by Sunday morning, triggering widespread shower activity while overnight temperatures hold in the middle 50s to lower 60s.
