After months of drought in Georgia, intense rainfall over the past week has caused power outages, ground stops and flash flooding in and around Atlanta.
Last week, multiple inches of rain fell in the metro area in the span of an hour. The water backed up on some of the city’s major thoroughfares, including the Atlanta Connector where cars and their drivers became stranded during rush hour traffic.
It was a wet Memorial Day weekend, and those conditions show no sign of slowing down as we move into the second half of the week and last weekend of May…
