ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An Acworth man will serve 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to assaulting a woman, the Cherokee County district attorney said.
The district attorney said Duarte Arias strangled, bit and punched the woman in August 2025 before forcing her back into his apartment when she tried to escape.
