Marietta lab owner charged with running genetic testing scam

A Marietta man is facing criminal charges and a civil complaint from Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr after investigators say he ran a genetic testing scam out of a Marietta laboratory.

Maged Awad, 61, is accused of submitting false or fraudulent genetic testing claims to the Georgia Medicaid program.
