5 injured in crash that shut down part of I-85 in Troup County, GSP say

TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — A crash that closed part of Interstate 85 north in metro Atlanta sent multiple people to the hospital on Monday in metro Atlanta.

The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said troopers were called to the collision near mile marker 14 at around 4:34 p.m. on July 6.

According to GSP, it was determined through investigation that a Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling north in the right lane of I-85 northbound when it hit the back of a Ford Focus in the right lane. The incident closed part of I-85 for about one hour…
