ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Prosecutors said a Woodstock man convicted of raping a woman and violating a protective order she had against him was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison.
Last year, the victim reported to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office that Roman Viderman, with whom she was in a relationship, had sexually assaulted her multiple times, according to the District Attorney’s Office for the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit, which covers the county.
The woman said the assaults happened while she was asleep and unable to protect herself, and that she told Viderman to stop but he refused.
The victim said Viderman was also “conducting unauthorized surveillance” of her in violation of a temporary protective order, the district attorney’s office said…
