Police said Monday that the suspect in the kidnapping of two young children had been accused of a nearly identical crime in Alabama five years ago.
Lt. Christapher Butler with Atlanta Police said Lakesha Brown had befriended the mother of the 4-year-old and 11-month-old girls, and they had been left in her care. The children had disappeared Saturday evening.
