After more than 14 years on the bench, the Georgia judge who presided over the Ahmaud Arbery murder trial is resigning to join an Atlanta law firm as its first attorney based in Savannah.
Chatham County Superior Court Judge Timothy Walmsley is giving up his docket Sept. 1 to become a partner at Robbins Alloy Belinfante Littlefield, a firm that specializes in business litigation and government and regulatory matters.
