The driver of a car that was in a crash that killed two teens in January near Woodstock has been arrested, the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office announced.
On Jan. 9, a crash on Towne Lake Parkway claimed the lives of Esteban Cortez-Rendon, 18 of Woodstock, and Gabriel Escandon, 17 of Marietta, and injured the three other teens in the car.
Oliver Luis Roman, 18 of Powder Springs, was arrested and charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, two counts of serious injury by vehicle, reckless driving, and violation of a Class D license, according to the sheriff’s office.
Roman was booked into the Cherokee County jail Wednesday morning; as of late Wednesday afternoon he remained in custody with bond set at $50,860.
