Georgia Welcomes New Director Johnny Sabo to Helm State Forestry Commission

Georgia’s ecosystem and economic vitality gets a stewardship shuffle as Governor Brian P. Kemp names Johnny Sabo the new Director and State Forester of the Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC). Taking the reins on September 1, Sabo is stepping up following Tim Lowrimore’s upcoming resignation announced for September 15. The decision came after a unanimous vote by the GFC Board which concluded on August 27, a move dignifying the importance of forestry to the state, Gov. Kemp told officials.
