Mason Mattews Hyde, 20, of Smyrna, is accused of destroying a metal grate on the stairs inside of the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, on Oct. 7 at 10:30 p.m. The incident was captured on closed-circuit television footage, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.
Hyde is charged with items prohibited for possession by inmates – warden’s authorization; and criminal interference with government property.
Hyde remains in custody without bond.
