The caller who made a hoax 911 call, threatening to harm himself and shoot police, did so because he was “mad” at a Marietta resident.
The Marietta Police Department is investigating the phony call after officers were dispatched to a home on Walnut Path, off Whitlock Drive, for a caller making threats of suicide at 10:25 p.m. Sunday, according to Officer Chuck McPhilamy, a spokesman for the department.
When a Journal reporter reviewed a recording of the 911 call, the suspect, who identified himself as a 14-year-old named Isaac, sounded nervous as he told the dispatcher “Ma’am, there’s a shootout at my neighborhood.”…
