Man breaks into Woodstock jewelry store, tries to escape police, officers say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A man was arrested on Thursday after Woodstock police say he broke into a jewelry store.

Scott Candor faces a long list of charges, including reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, fleeing and eluding, second-degree criminal damage, felony theft, smash and grab burglary, possession of tools in the commission of a crime and four drug-related counts.

At around 7:40 a.m., officers were called to a reported burglary at Art Jewelers, which is off Woodstock Square Avenue. They found the suspect vehicle and tried to pull it over, but Candor allegedly kept driving…
