Parker Plaza West reopens after $4.5 million renovation

More than 50 years after opening, Parker Plaza West has a fresh look.

The shopping center on the corner of West Parker Road and Custer Road recently celebrated its reopening following a $4.5 million renovation. The project modernizes one of Plano’s longest-standing retail centers while preserving the small businesses that have called the plaza home for years.

The improvements were completed through Plano’s Shopping Center Revitalization Program, and marks the first major renovation since the shopping center opened in 1976. Changes include updated storefronts, new landscaping, lighting and common areas…
