Flirting with 100 degrees this weekend

Well, our rain-free streak continues to climb here across North Texas. We’re now at 64 consecutive days without measurable rainfall at DFW Airport. We only hit 99 degrees yesterday, so we’re stuck at 52 triple-digit temperatures for the year.

I think we’ll be right around 100 degrees or slightly below today and tomorrow, and that’s what the records are showing as well.

High pressure is still in control and centered over the southeastern United States, but it will slowly begin to weaken as we move into early next week. That will allow a weak cold front to settle into North Texas and bring scattered showers and thunderstorms back into the forecast Monday through Wednesday…
