Garland police bust organized theft crew tied to at least 25 stolen vehicles

GARLAND, Texas — Police said a months-long investigation has dismantled an organized vehicle theft crew responsible for at least 25 thefts and burglaries across Garland and nearby cities.

In a news release, the Garland Police Department said the group stole more than $62,000 in property and operated as a “structured operation with clearly defined roles.”

Investigators said the suspects primarily targeted older model Chevrolet, GMC and Dodge trucks from the 1990s to early 2000s, along with work vans — vehicles commonly found in North Texas neighborhoods and job sites…
