MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Federal and city leaders want to warn and remind Tennesseans that buying a gun on behalf of another person, especially a convicted felon, is a crime.
Mike Dunavant, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee, offered a stark reminder and warning as the ATF and law enforcement crack down on what’s described as “straw purchases.”
