MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The suspect in a multi-county chase on I-40 that began with a shooting in Fayette County over the weekend was identified by Madison County authorities.
Harles Smart, 41, of Louisiana, is being held on $1 million bond on a charge of attempted murder, plus charges of use of a firearm during a dangerous felony and evading arrest.
