MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Making the heart of the city safer. WREG Investigators found out there’s a new initiative in the works in downtown Memphis that will offer businesses a direct line to the police command center.
“There are so many new experiences for people in downtown,” said Chandell Ryan, who heads the Downtown Memphis Commission. “We want everyone to come down and understand it’s a place that is welcoming for them.”
A big part of that is ensuring the area stays safe.
