Jury convicts Memphis men after carjacking, shooting ATM tech

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A federal jury has returned a guilty verdict in the case of two Memphis men for carjacking and shooting a 67-year-old ATM technician in 2023.

Alvin Anthony, 31, and Royce Newsome, 33, have been convicted after a five-day jury trial in federal court on charges of conspiracy to commit carjacking, aiding and abetting carjacking, and aiding and abetting the use and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence.
