MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – An investigation is underway after a Memphis police officer was involved in a crash with a hit-and-run driver Thursday night.
The Memphis Police Department said the three-vehicle crash happened at Covington Pike and Battle Creek Drive just before 9:30 p.m.
Police said the crash involved a marked MPD squad car, a Honda Accord and a Maserati Ghibli.
According to the crash report, the driver of the Maserati made an illegal u-turn at the intersection in front of the Honda and an MPD officer.
