MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Music filled the streets of downtown Memphis this weekend as the South Main Songwriter Festival brought live performances to businesses throughout the South Main Arts District.
The festival kicked off Saturday morning at the Memphis Farmers Market and featured singer-songwriters performing throughout the South Main Arts District. Saturday’s lineup included performances by The Old Dogs at South Point Grocery, Paul Crum at MFS Brewery, Todd Nations at Feelin’ Memphis/Muse, Nightshade & Co. at Earnestine & Hazel’s and Kenny Haze at Stock & Belle.
Evening performances continued at venues across the neighborhood, including South Main Sounds, Slider Inn, Old Dominick, Green Beetle, Momma’s and The Dame.
Organizers say the festival is designed to give music lovers a chance to experience songs the way they were meant to be heard — up close, personal and filled with heart.
