Two Detained After Police Chase in Parkway Village Memphis

A pre-dawn police chase through Memphis’ Parkway Village neighborhood ended with a loud crash on Aloha Avenue and two people in handcuffs early Saturday, according to Memphis police.

Officers were tracking a vehicle they believed had been taken in an earlier robbery near Winchester and Perkins roads when the driver refused to stop, police said. The pursuit wound through Parkway Village and stopped only after the car hit a parked vehicle on Aloha Avenue between Cottonwood and Knight Arnold. Both people in the car took off on foot, but officers caught up with them shortly afterward. No injuries were reported…
