MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mid-South residents should prepare for a stormy start to the week as a line of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to move into the region early Monday morning.
The strong storms expected to move into the Mid-South early Monday morning will reach far northwest Tennessee and northeast Arkansas before the sun comes up and move into the I-40 corridor around 7 a.m.
Some of these storms may be severe, with strong wind as the main hazard.
The severe threat will diminish with southward extent. Rain will likely continue until early afternoon although the main severe threat will be with the initial line.
