Emergency cooling center opens as dangerous temps continue across the Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The City of Memphis will open its emergency cooling center Thursday for those who need relief from the heat.

The cooling center is open from 4-7 p.m. at 590 Washington Ave. It operated by The Hospitality Hub of Memphis.

City officials said everyone is welcome. Guests must check in upon arrival, but IDs are not required…
