MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Before guests at Alcenia’s Restaurant in downtown Memphis are handed a menu, they are often greeted with a hug.
For 29 years, owner Betty Joyce Chester-Tamayo has made it her mission to ensure no one leaves the restaurant feeling like a stranger.
