MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a shootout that erupted in Memphis’ Cooper-Young neighborhood Thursday night, police said.
According to the Memphis Police Department, officers responded just before 9 p.m. on July 23 to a shooting in the area of New York Street and Oliver Avenue.
Investigators determined the gunfire began at a Marathon gas station nearby before continuing into the neighborhood.
Shootout sends bullets flying on Young Avenue
Police said seven armed men entered the gas station while four other armed men remained outside. Investigators say shots were fired between the groups before everyone involved fled the scene prior to officers arriving. No injuries were reported…
