MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Members at Hope Chapel in Olive Branch arrived for Sunday service to find Saturday’s storms have ripped the steeple clear off the church.
While the damage is severe, pastors say the steeple may have fallen, but their faith remains unshaken.
“This church since we have been here has gotten a lot of attention in the community. its been here for a long time. and more recently because we have been here. people have been stopping by and say ‘hey we saw all the cars in the parking lot and wanted to see what’s going on.’ It really showed us that people do notice this place. and we definitely want to get that steeple back up there because we know it means a lot to the olive branch community as well,” Pastor Cresley Weatherford said…
