EBT recipients who lost power due to bow echo storm may qualify for relief

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Massive power outages swept across Shelby County last week following a bow echo storm that blew through the region. For some of the over 100,000 who lost power, there may be some relief on the horizon.

For those receiving SNAP benefits, if your food spoiled, replacements are available.

The Tennessee Department of Human Services said any SNAP recipient who lost power for more than 12 hours and had food spoil can qualify for replacement funds…
