MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A Memphis man has been arrested after police said they found him asleep in a vehicle next to the penal farm with a gun, drugs and bolt cutters.
Elijah Scales was arrested and later released on bail after police said they found him passed out in a vehicle’s passenger seat next to the penal farm with a firearm, bolt cutters and numerous other items considered contraband inside a penal institution.
Scales was charged with multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell: marijuana, oxycodone, alprazolam, and dextroamphetamine, unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, possession of burglary tools, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony…
