MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Methodist Healthcare Foundation has announced its special guest for this year’s annual Luncheon: TV host, wellness advocate and former boxing champion Laila Ali.
Ali is the daughter of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.
Boxing career and TV career
Laila Ali retired from boxing in 2007 as an undefeated world champion. She went on to star in multiple reality TV shows, including “American Gladiators” and “Dancing with the Stars,” along with her own DIY series called “Home Made Simple with Laila Ali” for the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Ali is passionate about heart health, driven by a personal family connection to heart disease.
