Kappa Alpha Psi brothers fed over 300 people during winter storm

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — During the winter storm, fraternity brothers gathered to help feed community members in need.

Brothers with the Memphis chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated partnered up with The Hospitality Hub” to feed hundreds of people staying at the warming center.

They also fed people staying at the Dave Wells Community Center.

The fraternity brothers started cooking early Saturday morning, making soup and a variety of side items.

Norman Miller of the Memphis Alumni Chapter said, “There are so many of us who are blessed to be able to reach out and do this. As Memphians, this is what we do.”

“You got a lot of people out here who are suffering at this time,” said Reginal Boyce, Director of Community of Affairs and Special Assistant to Mayor Paul Young. “They are grieving already from the holiday season, now they’re being hit with snow and ice. They need to know somebody cares and that’s what we’re here for. “
