On New Year’s Eve, the highly awaited soft opening of a new social club catering to Memphis millennial “trendsetters, tastemakers, and influencers” took place at 6642 Winchester Rd . Owners Brent Hooks and Tony Smith told The Daily Memphian that District 12 Social Club is still in its soft opening phase, and they are actively working on setting a grand opening date.
Spanning 5,000 square feet, the nightclub will feature live musical entertainment by various artists. Lining the walls are eye-catching white patent booths, providing prime spots to enjoy the entertainment. Beyond the bookable booths, there’s additional seating and standing room near the two bars in the center of the space.
District 12 presents an array of elevated southern-style menu items, ranging from diverse wing appetizers to soulful Cajun-inspired entrees. Patrons can delight in dishes like Nola Crab Beignets and Honey Hot Catfish, and even find vegan options such as the Farmer’s Market Fried Rice. The drink menu showcases a blend of classics like the Old Fashioned and French 75, alongside modern libations such as the Hawaiin Cosmo and Rosé Margarita.
