Months-Long Manhunt Ends With Tennessee Murder Suspect Nabbed In Spanish Lake

A Tennessee murder suspect who spent months on the run was finally tracked down to the Spanish Lake neighborhood of St. Louis on Thursday, where federal marshals say they quietly moved in and made the arrest.

The U.S. Marshals Service identified the man as 35-year-old Demario Anderson, who is charged with second-degree murder in Shelby County, Tennessee. He was detained in St. Louis County and is now waiting to be sent back to face those charges.

Federal task force traced him to St. Louis

According to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service, the Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force opened an investigation into Anderson on Nov. 8, 2025, after he was charged in Shelby County. Investigators later developed information that he had traveled to St. Louis and, on Nov. 19, 2025, sent a collateral lead to U.S. Marshals in Missouri. That tip helped set up the arrest.
