Drivers heading through Shelby Farms Park on Tuesday afternoon suddenly found themselves in the middle of a major law enforcement operation, as a heavy presence of Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies and task-force agents clogged Farm Road and backed up traffic. Parkgoers said deputies were out in the roadway directing cars while additional units, including deputies on ATVs and tactical vehicles, were staged deeper inside the park. The dramatic scene had visitors snapping photos and quickly posting what they saw online.
As reported by LocalMemphis, crews on the scene described a concentration of sheriff’s vehicles and task-force agents near the park entrance, with that story updated on April 14, 2026.
