Final suspect arrested in Memphis pharmacy truck robberies from 2024

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The third and final suspect tied to a pair of 2024 pharmacy delivery truck robberies in Memphis has been arrested, according to jail and court records.

Warren McGowan was taken into custody Saturday and is now in the Shelby County Jail on a $250,000 bond. He is charged with aggravated robbery and carjacking in connection to the delivery truck thefts.

One theft happened in November, the second happened on Christmas Eve in 2024.

Two pharmacy delivery truck thefts linked to suspect

According to affidavits, the first robbery happened Nov. 29, 2024, outside a Walgreens on Summer Avenue, where a delivery driver was unloading medication when two armed men approached, pointed a gun, and stole seven totes of pharmaceuticals before fleeing.

In the second robbery on Christmas Eve, police tracked stolen medication worth over $100,000 to a home on Nellie Road, where officers say they found suspects unloading pharmaceutical totes from a vehicle registered to Pirtle. Javorian Miller was arrested at the scene.

Investigators say Miller later admitted to his role in the robberies, telling officers he drove the vehicle and participated to make money. He also identified Warren McGowan and Fredrick Pirtle as the gunmen in both incidents.
